Getting There 

Here are field directions to most MABL fields. For fields not listed, please go to the MABL Boston Baseball site.

 

 

 

Billings Field

At corner of Lagrange and Centre St in West Roxbury

From Cleveland Circle

1) Take Beacon St towards BC

2) At set of light after BC, take a left onto Hammond St. Cross over Rte 9 and go about another mile until you hit a rotary (You'll pass Putterham golf courese on your left)

3) When you hit a rotary go about 1/2 way around and take R onto Lagrange St (It will be your 3rd possible turn on the rotary)

4) Follow Lagrange about 2 miles passing over the VFW parkway until you reach Centre St.

5) Take a left onto Centre and take your 1st right. Billings Field is right there.

Boston English

Located in central Jamaica Plain off of Washington Street. Directly across from Jakes BBQ and Doyles Pub.

FROM NORTHEASTERN

1) From Northeastern University, follow Huntington Avenue toward Jamaica Plains for 2 miles and turn left onto South Huntington for another 1/3 mile.

2) Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto CENTRE ST. and go 3/4 of a mile.

3) Take a left onto Searvens Street (at Purple Cactus restaurant)

4) Go to the end of Searvens (.4 mile) and take a right onto Amory Street Park will be 2/10 of a mile on your left.

FROM FENWAY AREA

1) Take Brookline Ave and following signs towards "Brookline\Worcester". You will pass Beth Israel Hospital on left.

2) At the 4th light after Beth Israel, take left onto Riverway(turns into Jamaicaway).

3) Follow Jamaicaway for 1.5 miles until you get to Pond St (Set of lites). Take a left.

4) At end of Pond (1/3 mile), take a right onto Centre St.

5) Go ¼ mile and take a left onto Searvens Street (at Purple Cactus restaurant)

6) Go to the end of Searvens (.4 mile) and take a right onto Amory Street Park will be 2/10 of a mile on your left.

From Brookline/Rte 9 area

1) Get to Rte 9 and take Route 9 east. After passing Harvard Street in Brookline village area, get in right lane.

2) Take a right onto the Jamaicaway (AKA Rte 1 south) which is just past Harvard Street.

3) Follow Jamaicaway for 1.3 miles until you get to Pond St where you will take a left.

4) At end of Pond (1/3 mile), take a right onto Centre St.

5) Go ¼ mile and take a left onto Searvens Street (at Purple Cactus restaurant)

6) Go to the end of Searvens (.4 mile) and take a right onto Amory Street Park will be 2/10 of a mile on your left.

EAST BOSTON STADIUM

This park is located in East Boston right next to the airport. 

  • From Boston, go thru the Callahan Tunnel towards the airport. 
  • After exiting the tunnel, take an immediate right at the "Local Exit."
  • At Santarpio's, go straight onto Porter Street (It's actually a left and real quick right).
  • Go over the bridge and take a left at lights (looks like a run down area). The park will be on your right.

HEALY FIELD

Healy Field is located on Washington Street in Roslindale 1 mile from the Forest Hill T station.

Details from Rte 9/Jamaicaway intersection in Brookline

  • Take Jamaicaway (aka Rte 1 south) about 2 miles passing the Jamaica Pond on your right. 
  • You'll then hit 2 seperate rotaries where you will follow signs for Arboretum/Franklin Park Zoo/Rte 203 east.
  • After passing the Arboretum on your right after the 2nd rotary, go about another 1/2 mile and bare right off the exit (There's a small Forest Hills sign). If you go over a long bridge, you've gone too far.
  • At the bottom of the ramp, take a right at the lights onto Washington Street (Forest Hills T stop will be on your left).
  • Stay straight on Washington Street for 1 mile and Healy Field will be on your left. 

JEFFERSON FIELD

Jefferson Field is located behind the VA hospital and Jefferson School in Jamaica Plain.

3) Take a left onto Day street. Look for a park on your left in about a half mile.

KELLY FIELD

Kelly Field is at the intersection of Turtle Pond Parkway and River Street on the Dedham/Hyde Park border

From Cleveland Circle

1) Take Beacon St towards BC

2) At set of light after BC, take a left onto Hammond St. Cross over Rte 9 and go about another mile until you hit a rotary (You'll pass Putterham golf course on your left)

3) At that rotary go about 1/2 way around and take R onto Lagrange St (It will be your 3rd possible turn on the rotary)

4) Follow Lagrange about 2-3 miles passing over the VFW parkway and Centre St (As a side note, the corner of Centre and Lagrange is where the batting cages are).

5) At end of Lagrange, take a R onto Enneking Parkway (AKA W. Roxbury Parkway). LaGrange ends just after you cross Washington St. (lights) in Roslindale. You have no choice but to get on Enneking Pkwy. There will be a lot of trees and road is windy.

6) Stay on Enneking Parkway for about 1 mile.

7) At a stop sign, go straight onto Turtle Pond Parkway (Enneking Parkway continues left). Kelly Field will be about a mile on your left.

ROSS FIELD

Ross Field in Hyde Park is just off River St in the heart of Hyde Park.

From Cleveland Circle

1) Take Beacon St towards BC

2) At set of light after BC, take a left onto Hammond St. Cross over Rte 9 and go about another mile until you hit a rotary (You'll pass Putterham golf courese on your left)

3) When you hit a rotary go about 1/2 way around and take R onto Lagrange St (It will be your 3rd possible turn on the rotary)

4) Follow Lagrange about 2-3 miles passing over the VFW parkway and Centre St (As a side note, the corner of Centre and Lagrange is where the batting cages are).

5) At end of Lagrange, take a R onto Enneking Parkway (AKA W. Roxbury Parkway). LaGrange ends just after you cross Washington St. (lights) in Roslindale. You have no choice but to get on Enneking Pkwy. There will be a lot of trees and road is windy.

6) Stay on Enneking Parkway for about 1-2 miles. Note that there is a stop sign about ¾-1 mile onto Enneking Parkway where you will take a left and continue on Enneking Parkway

7) Take a R onto Gorden Ave and go 1/2 mile.

8) Take left onto River St. . You will find yourself at an intersection (with Hyde Park Ave.) which is Cleary Square (Papa Gino's diagonally to your right). Go thru Cleary Sq. and look for a CLOCK in the middle of the street/semi rotary where you will turn left and continue on River St. Don't miss this turn or you'll end up in the middle of nowhere.

9) Follow River about a mile and take left onto Reddy St which is just after Huntington Ave. It is a side street from which you cannot see the field. Don't look for a field, because you won't see it. DON'T park on the street by the field. The neighbors are pretty sensitive about that. There is a parking lot at the end of Reddy Ave.

FYI: River St. is also the street that is behind Kelley Field, for those of you who know how to get there. If you miss the four way stop and find yourselves at Kelley Field, pass the field and go left at the stop sign. Follow River St. into Cleary Sq., etc., etc.

From the cape

1) Rte 3 North from Cape to 93 South (in Braintree area)

2) Get off at exit 2 in Canton area and take rte 138 North

3) Follow 138N 2-3 miles passing Curry College and take left onto Williams Bradlee Road (Note: Maps say William Bradlee but street sign says something like "Bradlee" or "Williams"). Also note that William Bradlee Road is a residential street that may make you think you took a wrong turn after about a mile. When in doubt, stay straight.

4) At end of Bradlee Rd (about 1-2 miles), take R onto Truman

5) Take quick left onto Fairmont and go about a 1/2 mile

6) Take right onto River St

7) Follow river about a 1/2 mile and take left onto Huntington Ave. Park is right in this area.

Town Field

Located in Dorchester on Dorchester Ave

The Straightforward Route from Boston

Watch for traffic on 93.

1) From Boston, take Rte 93 SB to Exit 15 (bayside expo exit)

2) At end of ramp take a right onto Columbia Rd

3) Take a left at the first set of lights onto Dorchester Ave.

4) Follow for 1.5 miles past the Fields corner T station and the field will be on your right just after a store 24. You won't miss it as its the only field right on Dorchester Ave

Alternative Rte if in Brookline/JP area

From Junction of Rte 9 and Brookine Ave 20-25 minutes without traffic (Drove this on a Sunday afternoon in 15 min from step 2) Recommend this route when traveling around rush hour and if you know the Jamaicaway. Note that 203 is well marked so if you can get to the Arboretum, you should be all set

Nutshell * Follow Jamaicaway to Rte 203 (5 min) * Take 203 east til you hit Dorchester Ave. (15 min) * Take left onto Dorchester Ave and park is 1.2 miles on your left. (5 min) Note that 203 is well marked so if you can get to the Arboretum, you should be all set

Details

1) Take Jamaicaway about 2 miles passing the Jamaica Pond on your right. Follow signs for Arboretum/Franklin Park Zoo/Rte 203 east.

2) When you reach Arboretum, start following signs for 203 east. You'll go over a bridge with the Forest Hill clocktower to your right (towards Franklin Park Zoo).

3) When you hit the rotary after the bridge, continue on 203 east (AKA Morten Street) for 2.3 miles.

4) At 2.3 miles, bare left staying on Rte 203 east. The road now becomes Gallivan Parkway.

5) Follow Gallivan/Rte 203 east 0.7 miles crossing over Washington Street until you hit Dorchester Ave.

6) Take left on Dorchester and park is 1.2 miles on your left.

Warren Field

This is the backup practice field to C. Circle.

From C.Circle, get on Chesnut Hill ave passing the movies on your right  Take a right at light onto Dean Rd.  Travel a few short blocks.  Take a left at stop sign onto Elliot Street.  Take a quick left into small parking lot next to playground.  You will see the baseball field farther back behind playground here.
